barbAs luck would have it, I’ve been sitting around an awful lot today because I haven’t been able to control my glucose levels. I was checking my email earlier today as I am signed up for quite a few RSS feeds; anyways, I got an e-newsletter today from Jake Ludington’s Digital Lifestyle (great site about travel, life and tech/I recommend signing up for his RSS feed). In the newsletter it stated that if you (his readers) followed him on twitter he’d be giving away an 80GB Zune to the first person that replied with the correct answer to a question he’d be asking today.
Well, of course I jump on twitter (since I’ve already got an account) and started following Jake; I refreshed the page a few times an hour for a while just to make sure I didn’t miss the chance at winning this awesome player. Well, by a cool streak of luck, I happened to click on the refresh button about 6 minutes after he had posted the giveaway question. In a panic I opened my email, rummaged through all the other emails I had received and found his newsletter that I had saved to my inbox. I found the answers I was looking for, I went back to twitter hoping I was the first person to answer the question correctly. Again, I refreshed a few times to see if I a little luck was with me; within a few minutes I got a reply back from Jake stating that I had in fact won the Zune. So, as miserable as the day was earlier today, I can now say that I will be an owner of a new Zune before the week is up (my OH, so good luckJ)! How’s that for a Sunday evening?

Thanks Keith…yeah, I’m pretty thrilled about that one. At the end of this month he’ll be giving away a Toshiba Notebook…John needs one for the shop so, you better believe I’ll be watching and paying attention to that!!!
